Start of the hike was already picturesque. The clear skies and sun transformed every body of water into a mirror.
We coincided with the start of the summer hiking season but the locals said it was unusually warm this year. Most of the snow had already melted away.
Our original plan was to hike to Stonndalen over the plateau. It didn’t quite go to plan….we bush bashed through long grass and nettle but unfortunately the path was poorly marked. After a couple hours, we had to go with Plan B and headed back to the cross roads. On the way back, we found the perfect camping spot, next to a waterfall and perched on a cliff with a stunning view across the valley.
